Loan Periods for Learning Commons Materials
Materials from the Learning Commons are circulated to students for a loan period of 21 days. Students may check out up to 3 print books at a time.
After 21 days, print books that have not been returned or renewed are considered overdue. Books may be renewed in the Learning Commons as long as the material is not on hold for another student. Students should renew or return overdue materials before checking out new books.
Overdue Books
No fine will be assessed for overdue materials, but students are encouraged to return materials as soon as they are done using them.
Lost or Damaged Books
Replacement fees for lost or damaged books are assessed in Infinite Campus. You may either pay this fee online or provide a copy of the lost or damaged book for the Learning Commons collection. Please reach out to Learning Commons staff for any concerns about payment, so we may waive the fee and re-order the book for other students to enjoy.
Access to Scott County Library Materials
Students may also check out print and digital materials at the Scott County Library with their Virtual Student Library Card. There are no overdue fines for this account, but fines apply for lost or damaged books.
