Dear English 8 students,

This guide includes book suggestions from Cloud Library and Libby for your independent reading project. Just like people in real life, the books on these lists feature complex characters & themes, and often span more than one genre. Also, these lists are not all-inclusive and you may find other wonderful titles by browsing MackinVIA and Libby on your own.

Here are a few tips on using this guide:

Books are organized by genre tabs at the top of this guide. Hover over titles to see a description of the book.
Titles with an asterisk (*) also have a digital audio book available in the Audio tab.
Books that have MackinVIA Multi-User as the call number mean that an unlimited number of readers can read this title at once.
Books that are available in both MackinVIA and Libby are next to each other.
